In 2011, Thierry Mugler released one of the most iconic flankers to the ever successful A*Men. Pure Havane took the gourmand richness of the original and spiced it up with accents of tobacco, honey, and bitter cocoa. The result is a smooth, complex, and cultivated perfume that adds sobriety to an otherwise eccentric fragrance. Honeyed tobacco is the star of the opening until benzoin, bitter cocoa, and patchouli add instrumentality in the bottom of the note pyramid to create a long-lasting and addictive finish. Our inspired expression of this classic fragrance is called When in Havana, and this extrait de parfum captures the splendor and excitement of a visit to Havana, Cuba where the finest tobacco is sold abundantly and those enjoying the beautiful weather at an outdoor café casually sip café con leche. When in Havana is our expression of the vintage formulation of Mugler’s Pure Havane from 2011, and it is guaranteed to perform even better than the original on account of the increased concentration of raw materials. We made sure that our IFRA-certified and trained chemists spent a bit longer finalizing this formula so that you are reminded of the glory of the original when you wear our spot on version.
